Commissioned by the Riverbank Arts Centre along with Poet Nell Regan to explore the unique landscape of the Pollardstown Fen (a nature reserve on the Curragh) through a series of workshops with children from the Curragh Family Resource Centre after-school club.  

 

Working together, we assisted the children in celebrating the rich natural history of Pollardstown Fen in their own poems and illustrations.

The programme was concluded with an event and pop-up exhibition at The Riverbank Arts Centre, celebrating the work that took place.

 

Pollardstown Fen, a rich ecosystem on Kildare's doorstep, will be captured and preserved in the poetry and minds of the young Curragh residents.
