This drawing was completed in the gardens of Farmleigh House & Estate during the Dublin Plein Air Festival. While wandering these well manicured gardens, what caught my eye was the working space behind it. Gardeners had been quietly at work from early in the morning to maintain the effortless looking beauty all around. 
As any gardener knows, it takes time and patience to cultivate the sanctuary a garden offers. 
This was a unique opportunity to pause and capture the behind the scenes of an estate like this, to acknowledge and appreciate the many hands, over many seasons, that collectively cultivate a place for others to experience, enjoy, and reflect within.
